This photo was taken on the roadside from Jasper to Maligne Lake, i love taking natural shots of wildlife.Time
Was maybe mid to late afternoon, after a great hike at Maligne Lake, we were travelling back to Jasper. A herd of Sheep was all over the road, then i saw these two little ones, over the bank of the lake, one gave the other a gentle nudge, i was lucky yo have captured this moment.Lighting
i didnt have the opportunity of worrying about the lighting, as this was a chance to capture a tender moment ,which looked good through the lense, luckily i had zoomed in on them , as i wanted photos of the "babies"Equipment
This was shot with a Canon Camera, i think this was my AE1, was film camera , no tripod etc.Inspiration
I love great scenery and wildlife, as we were driving, was on lookout for any wildlife, its exciting to view ,even more so to capture on camera. We could see a traffic jam ahead, the slopes around the Lake often have sheep on them. The herd was just scattered along the road. Then i spied this little white lamb laying in the dandelions ,it looked so cute, i got a couple of solo of it then this other one came up, was a neat momentEditing
I didn't do any processing on this photo it just happened. In my camera bag
my camera bag is very simple, now that i use digital,,,, a Canon SX50HS,( love this lightweight fixed lense camera), always a spare battery, battery charger & cleaning cloth,Feedback
Sometimes opportunity presents itself, i stayed by my vehicle, because after all ,this is wildlife, i just try to make sure i have my subject framed the way i see it balances. i am rather picky this way whether it be wildlife or scenery. I have missed shots sometimes as i don't just want to snap, i want my photos to look natural , sometimes can be cropped slightly afterward, now with digital. This particular photo was taken with film, hence what you took was what you got, took me years to convert to digital, now i'm into it i still look at photography the same way but take loads more photo's. Its all about what looks good to the eye, for me.
