Behind The Lens

Location

This photo is a still image from a video I shot from my front yard.

Time

It was somewhere between 8:00 pm and midnight.

Lighting

I knew I would never be able to catch the perfect image so I just recorded it, and took the best still images from the video for it.

Equipment

Honestly don't remember if it was my phone's camera or the digital camera I used to own.

Inspiration

There was no storm or raining during this. There was just this 1 giant cloud moving through the sky and a whole lot of lightning leaving the cloud and arcing back into the cloud, never heading towards the ground at any point. So I decided to record the whole thing. It was just an amazing thing to watch, that I had never seen in my life and likely to never see again afterwards, so I decided I needed to record it.

Editing

Not really, I just took some still images from the video I recorded to get the amazing shots.

In my camera bag

I only ever have my phone or generic video camera/camcorder handy, do not carry a bag arouond for them.

Feedback

If it seems amazing or if you're like me and just want to share it with the world. Snap it or record it.
