I used a Canon t3i with a 70-200 L F/4 non IS lens.Inspiration
Was trying out my new lens and the birds were very active. Saw this pair and took a chance.Editing

I usually have a Canon with the trusty 70-200 L and am trying some Pentax stuff now.Feedback
Just wait for a bright day and go for it. I am a fan of really good glass. Hard to beat a 70-200 for action shots.
