Giving some attention to the cat

I was at my University Residence's community based projects. This poor cat didnt get the best treatment from his owners so ended up giving it some attention to save the poor thing. I got bored at a community based project and ended up finding this little haven of colour. The cap is one I was wearing as it was my University Residence's community based project. This is a photo of a boy who lives in a less than ideal situation. He is one of about 40 people who live on a small plot where not much except hardship is present. Even though his chances of escaping this very poor community are so slim he still manages to crack a smile. This was taken in South Africa in the Pretoria region.
