I used natural lighting coming through the lanai double doors with full windows.Equipment
The camera was a Nikon D700 and the lens was a Nikon 70-200mm f2.8.Inspiration
I am a great lover of dogs and my miniature poodle is one of my best buddies. He had a very full day running on a friend's property with my other dogs. He was tired and looked so peaceful that I thought it would be a great photo of him lying against the light colored leather couch.Editing
I used only Lightroom to crop and adjust the exposure a little. I also used Lightroom to turn this into a B & W photo.In my camera bag
I normally carry two camera bodies (Nikon D700 and Nikon D800) along with my Nikon 70-200mm, Tamron 24-70mm and Nikon 50mm f1.4 lens. I also carry a Nikon SB-800 speedlight and the usual CF cards and lens cleaning supplies.Feedback
My best advice is to experiment more with natural light and subjects you are comfortable shooting. A photo opportunity missed is one you will never get again.
