Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in the middle of the Gulf of Mexico during a cruise at sunset.

Time

It was nearing sunset.

Lighting

I used all natural light, no editing other than my water mark on this picture.

Equipment

I used a Canon T3 at the time, I cannot remember the lens, no flash, no tripod just my hands

Inspiration

I love taking pictures of the sunset, for this foto I took a lot of pictures while drinking some wine in this glass, as the sunset approached and I finished my drink, it hit me that I was relaxed and having a great time, so I looked at he glass and thought "Salud"

Editing

none, just added my watermark. I can only imagine how wonderful that picture would look with more editing. But I feel it would have taken away form what to me is the perfect non edited shot.

In my camera bag

I carry... my camera (Canon), 3 lenses, a long lens, a fish eye lens and a regular lens, a portable flash, extra battery and sd cards, I tend to keep it simple and only take the necessities unless I am doing a shoot for someone, then I take quite a lot more.

Feedback

I always say go with your gut, if you see something that you feel would make a great image, go for it, make sure to take 20 of the same shot and practice practice practice. I am not a professional photographer, I do this because I love it, I try to stay away from heavily editing my shots with photoshop or lightroom because nature, people, objects or whatever you are into photographing is already beautiful :)
