Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken at Rosses Point Sligo Ireland. On the beach below the yacht club..

Time

I took a few photos with my camera on the tripod...the sun was setting and the sky was lighting up beautiful..there were a few jet strolls..but they soon dissipated.. I took some HDR images ..but switched it off and took this one. The first time I have stayed in a place for longer than an hour to get the picture.

Lighting

I like to take photographs as is...with little to no post image adjustments other that horizon alignment etc.

Equipment

Canon 5D Mk 111..no flash..on a Manfrotto tripod and i think it was my 24-105 f1:4 L Canon lens

Inspiration

just loved the way the sun was setting and the clouds were getting loads of colour over the ocean.

Editing

only horizon levelling

In my camera bag

i carry 2 camera bodies..A 5D Mk111 and a Canon 60D,, I have a 100-400 L series lens with a 1.4X extender, the 24- 105 , a 85mmEF1/1.18 prime lens, swell as a 50mm 1/1.4 prime. i also carry a Tamron af 55-200 4-5.6 macro and a Canon 90-300 4.5-5.6 zoom lens for the 60D

Feedback

The west coast of Ireland is absolutely stunning at any time of the year...I was just privileged to be there when Mother Nature was putting on this display of lighting.
