I think your shots are really stunning. I don't have the hardware for such good shots as yours :)

Location
This was taken in my initial days experimenting with photography. I had a Sony Alpha A100 bought as used. The lens must have been a vintage Minolta but I do not remember the focal range. The photo shows a typical street in Valletta, Malta, which is full of hills. this street has stone steps at the sides. You can see down the street with doors in the street level over there. The closed wooden balconies to the sides of the street and also those facing the viewer are typical Maltese balconies (though it seems that they actually originated in Spain). Then, amidst this ancient history dating to the Knights of Saint John who built the city of Valletta, you find a typical British pillar style letter box at the top edge of the hill. Another British remnant is the guest house to the left - you can see the sign which says Coronation Guest House.Time
It was shot probably at about 10 or 11am - it has been too long to remember.Lighting

Sony Alpha A100 and a vintage Minolta lens (do not remember the focal range).Inspiration
I just thought that the sight would be interesting especially for people not familiar with the city of Valletta.Editing
I used HDR toning. I am not a fan of HDR anymore though. It was a fad of the time.In my camera bag
I normally now have a Canon 1DX MKii. A Canon 70-200mm IS ii lens and sometimes a Sigma 150-600 contemporary lens and a Canon 28-135mm IS lens. Depending on the occasion I may have a couple of flash guns or portable strobes (plus stands and diffusers)Feedback
Do not use HDR like I did.
