The photo was taken in Oakland, CA. After roaming around the hills I found a beautiful old BMW that had the right amount of shine and just enough leaves on it.Time
This car was found after a long day of walking around, shooting different locations in the Oakland Hills. I think you can get great images around here with views of the SF bay and also so much nature.Lighting
I wanted the lighting to be dark in most of the image, because the car is silver I thought that having a slight reflection on the car would really draw out its beauty. The dark tree behind it helps the car really stand out.Equipment
I used a Sony camera, I have always been a fan of Sony. This was just shot standing in the street.Inspiration
I have always loved cars, especially BMW and also nature. I think the two perfectly connect in this photo.Editing
I developed this using tone-mapping to really bring out the features of the car and to darken the background. This was during my earlier days of photography and didn't have a lot of skill in regards to post-processing.In my camera bag
Just my Camera, Sony A6000, a few lenses (super wide for landscape, zoom for walking around and a 35mm for people). Also I carry a lot of Peak Design gear to help me carry everything, I love having it on my hip.Feedback
