This is often the most impressive time of the wing cycle of this most impressive bird. And so difficult to catch, showing the primary feathers so well. It is also good that you also have the take off point in the composition. I also love the reflection. Beautiful image.

I had him "all zoomed in" perched on the dead tree when a property caretaker came around a corner on his four-wheeler and startled this huge Great White Heron. Seeing his first movement, I just started clicking and followed the flight. This was the best of the string ! ! ! Really glad you liked it ! ! ! Made my day ! ! !
