Location
I took this photo at the Royal International Air Tattoo in England.Time
It was shot in the middle of the day.Lighting
No spectacular light, which I think enhances the subtleties of the tones of the different tones of grey.Equipment
This was shot on my old Canon 50D, hand held.Inspiration
I love the detailing of the different metal surfaces. I used to work in the aerospace industry, so I really appreciated the amount of engineering that would have gone into every different angle, shape, metal thickness etc. I also love the big black hole, which draws you in.Editing
No significant post-processing.In my camera bag
I now have a 5dmkIII. Typically I have all my kit in the bag and take out a few bits depending on where I'm going. At the air show, my 70-300mm was essential, but I also carry a 16-35mm for those big wide shots. Of course I've got a trusty 24-105 for your average day.Feedback
In still aircraft, look for the details, the shapes, the angles.
