I took this photo in my living room, it had the best lighting when the sun sets through the windowTime
it was somewhat in the evening, like at 4pm or 5pm if I can remember clearlyLighting
I wanted to give a nice soft contrast when the light shined through the window, so what I did I placed my 600 AD mono strobe light outside of the window while the sun set was in the background giving a nice soft light.Equipment
I used a canon 7D with a 28-135mm lens, a 600 AD mono strobe light, and home made window curtains creating a soft boxInspiration
I was inspired by other professional photographers that did something similar like mines. I wanted to be more creative when comes to fantasy. Usually I don't use photoshop to add objects or anything like that in the photo instead I like to go find props that fits just right with the theme that I'm looking for.Editing
Not really, basically I just take the time and patience to get the right lighting. In my camera bag
I carry a canon 7D, 28-135 mm lens, a telephoto lens whenever I to take some landscape or sports shots, and a bower SFD35C flash light.Feedback
Just be creative as you can. You don't have to buy expensive equipment to get the right lighting. What I did, I went to Joans store bought at least 2 white sheets, somewhat that you can kind of see through, placed it outside of my window and take a couple practice shots until you get the right lighting or just wait till the sun sets, it also gives a nice lighting as well. And of course be creative with the theme that you want to do.
