This picture was taken at San Diego Safari Park - California. I grew up in the surroundings of Water Falls / Jungles and Hills. Wild Life and Nature pictures are " Natural to me ". However, to pursue my child hood passion and to understand "Photography as an Art" and to enhance the skill, I took - 01. Digital Photography ; 02. Black & White and 03. Portrait Photography (each course of 8 weeks each) at Saddleback College , under Prof Laura Hoffman.Time
Little after Noon around 1:10 pm - 1:15 pm at San Diego Safari Park .Lighting
Mother Gorilla had delivered the baby only a few days back, and I was lucky to get this shot when the Mother was enjoying the sunlight feeding the baby :)Equipment
, I am Nikon user. This picture was taken with Nikon D600 - using 300 mm Nikkor LensInspiration
I grew up in the surroundings of Jungle / Waterfall and Hills watching Elephants / Leopards / Bison / Bears and different species of Monkeys. Shooting Wild Life OR Nature is just "Natural to Me"Editing
Usually I just do the color correction OR cropping with Light Room, and try to keep the SHIT as it is. Though Landscape / Wild Life and Nature I use Filters which saves a lot from post processing. But YES .. I am learning post processing to enhance the " Picture I shoot as I call it " The moments I Freeze"In my camera bag
I am a Nikon User , typically I carry my Full Frame D600 , 18 - 300; 18 - 200 mm (as it is little lighter in weight(, and also at least One Prime Lens ( Nikkor 50mm f/1.8 G AF-S ) and my bag is never complete without few Filters to capture / enhance the Sky OR the Horizon while shooting Nature OR Landscape. AND very important ( at least for me ) a Strong Tripod with Remote Shutter Release and extra fully charged batteries :)Feedback
Well, I still consider myself a 5th Grade Student :) ( Just kidding ) What I mean , that I may not be competent to give "advice" but YES - I can share my experience. I say that I am not " A Photographer" - IAM A PHOTOARTIST :). In my opinion these 3 "P's are very Important to me - " PATIENCE - PRACTICE - PERSEVEARANCE" as these three I consider all the above to be the "KEY TO PERFECTION"
