Behind The Lens

Location

This is a view from North Vancouver. I went out to Ambleside Park and shot this from beside the Capilano River.

Time

It was a clear and dry night for a change, and very warm for the time of year.

Lighting

I tried different exposures, but liked this longer one as it smoothed out the ripples in the water a bit.

Equipment

I used a Canon T3i 18-55mm kit lens 36mm f/16.0 60sec. ISO 100 tripod remote release

Inspiration

I have always admired good night cityscape type shots. Night time is nice. A lot less people. And the city is quiet. I like it.

Editing

Yes. I sharpened the photo, added a bit to the color and brightened it a little. I also cropped some of the sky. I try to do as well as I can in the camera.

In my camera bag

I have a Canon T3i. 18-55mm, 55-250mm kit lens', 50mm f/1.8, and an EF 70-200mm f/4L. Extension tubes, polarizer, variable ND filter, remote release, extra battery, tripod.

Feedback

I'm not really the one to be giving advice. I do think it is true though, that the more you shoot, the better you will get. Thanks for liking my photo.
