Location
The aspen were just starting to turn colors, I went up to San Isabel to take pictures. I stopped to take a scenic across the road and noticed the leaves on this tree were different colors on the same branch.Time
This shot was taken on September 19, 2014 at 10:23AM.Lighting
The sun cooperated and this was shot using only natural light.Equipment
Sony SLT-A65V, Sony 18-250mm f/3.5-6.3 lensInspiration
I thought it was interesting that the leaves would be different colors on the same branch. The lens was brand new and I was experimenting to see how close it would focus.Editing
No post processing. In my camera bag
My usual go-bag has my Sony SLT-A65V with the 18-250mm f/3.5-6.3 lens, a Tamron 17-50mm f/2.8 lens, and a Minolta 28-135mm f/4-4.5 lens. I also always carry polarizers for each lens and a lens cleaning cloth.Feedback
Even if you are unsure how an image will look, take the shot. Worse case you can delete it later. Some of my best shots, including this one, were taken while I was experimenting with my camera or a new lens to see what it would do. Look for details that most people overlook like different colored leaves on the same branch.
