We had taken many captures that afternoon but I believe this was our last or second to last one! There was a large overturned tree with roots hanging out and I wanted a shot of her with them, but there was NO ambient light there. Just as we were about to leave, the sun burst and I was able to have my husband (who had only just arrived to pick us up) hold the reflector to BOUNCE directly onto Jane in that dark nook! It was a perfect moment :)
She is representing "Cloris", the forest nymph, often written about in Renaissance music (Jane is a specialist in singing Early Music). Her name means green, from which we get our english chlorophyll.
PS:
Have you ever had the stars in nature align for a shot? Leave me a comment so I can read your story! xx, Michelle
