(Sept. 25, 2014) - Master-At-Arms 2nd Class Justin Smith, from Estacada, Ore., fires an M240 machine gun as his line coaches, Gunner's Mate 2nd Class Brittany Payne, from Chicago, and Aviation Ordnanceman 3rd Class Kenneth Smith, from San Marcos, Texas, give direction and supervise at a firing range on Joint Base Lewis-McChord. Sailors assigned to the weapons and security departments of Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS John C. Stennis (CVN 74) are undergoing weapons qualifications in preparation for the ship’s return to operational status.
