Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo in Ayutthaya, the former capital city of the Kingdom of Siam (actually it's in Thailand). After the fall of the city, the temples and the buddhas were broken. This head found itself trapped within the roots of a tree.

Time

This was taken late morning (we were on a tour)

Lighting

Not really for this picture

Equipment

a Nikon D7100 with a 18/200 Nikkor lens, no tripod.

Inspiration

This is not a very original shot, I have seen many of them, but I guess it's very tempting to shoot this head in the roots.

Editing

just a little Lightroom because I take my pictures in RAW.

In my camera bag

not much, my camera and its 18/200 lens.

Feedback

I think you will always need post processing because the natural lighting in this place is not great, there is quite a lot of shade.
