Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo at a popular surfing spot in Mosselbay South Africa, called the Point.

Time

This photo i took on my way back from a early morning landscape photo shoot, and this idea came into my head all of a sudden, what it would look like if i turn on the shower, and then catch the early sunrise rays through the water coming from the shower.

Lighting

It was a spur of the moment photo, and the rays of the rising sun shining through the water of the shower, made it a perfect photo.

Equipment

Nikon D80 Aperture f/3.5, ISO 100, Shutter speed 1 / 1250, 18-55mm kit lens,and used a tripod no flash.

Inspiration

Like i said, the idea came into my head as i was packing up after my photo shoot for the morning

Editing

I just used Adobe Photoshop Lightroom to edit the lighting, and colors in the photo.

In my camera bag

18-55mm lens and 55-300mm lens,some batteries

Feedback

Let your mind go,and try out new ideas. Sometimes it's the photos that you least expect to make a impact, that comes out as a winning photo. Believe in yourself and your talent. You are never too old to learn new things when it comes to photography. Best time to take photos, are early in the morning before sunrise, and late afternoon, just before the sun goes down. Don't be too hard on yourself if you make mistakes. That's the only way we learn, and correct our mistakes the next time.
