Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in my home, Jasper had found a lovely sunny spot in front of the window.

Time

It was late morning on the weekend, and my two boys (one human) were enjoying our first real glimpse of spring sunshine shining through.

Lighting

It was challenging because they were in natural light and I was in a darker section of the hallway. Also being a black dog I was worried I might lose him in the shadows.

Equipment

Used my Olympus OMD E-10, with 75-300mm zoom. I was laying on the floor, taking a few shots of them, hoping he didn't decide to come over for a snuggle with me.

Inspiration

Just seeing how much the sunshine was being enjoyed, in a great position for, I hoped, a great shot.

Editing

The only processing I did was to crop, to focus on the joy on Jasper's face, no, his whole body, as he soaked up the warm rays.

In my camera bag

I'm very new to photography, so only have a few basics. My 75-300mm zoom, a macro lense and my tripod...at this stage. I'm so excited by the prospect of learning more, practising more and taking 'that' shot that has the world in awe!!

Feedback

Following children and pets around waiting for the right moment.. ! It's funny how I view the world now, everything I look at is with the view of 'what would be the best angle to take a photo of this particular moment'. Everything I see is a photo opportunity.
