This photo was taken at a workshop at downtown Chicago's 12th st beach.Time
Early afternoon, when the sun wad high in the sky.Lighting
I used the sunny 16 rule to defeat the sun, along with a reflector to light the subject.Equipment
A consumer body and lens was used, along with a large reflector. Canon T3i and Canon 70-300, IS, USM lens.Inspiration
I was trying out new techniques for shooting in harsh sunlight.Editing
I just used minor lightroom 5 post processing and a crop.In my camera bag
Now I have a 5dmk3 and 7dmk2. A Sigma 50mm ART, Canon 70-200, f2.8, IS, ver2, Canon 24-70, ver2, 5 yongnuo yn568 II flashes and triggers, Manfrotto monopod for sports and a Dolica tripod.Feedback
The better the talent, the easier the shoot. Also do you homework and preparation before the shoot.
