Behind The Lens

Location

I took this picture at Liberty State Park at the Statue of Liberty. The picture depicts the book and shoulder/tablet.

Time

I am pretty sure it was around noon time when I took this picture.

Lighting

The lighting was all natural, no flash was used. The sky was cloudless and bluish gray.

Equipment

I used my DSLR camera Nikon D3100. I did not take a tripod because I don't think I was able to bring it on the ferry across from Liberty State Park.

Inspiration

What inspired me to take this photo was the uniqueness of the shot. I wanted something different then what other tourists took.

Editing

I used Photoshop to make it B&W and also made it more vibrate and crisp.

In my camera bag

In my camera bag, I normally just keep the camera, a spare SD card, a spare battery and my lens cap (when it's not on the camera). Sometimes when I remember I will bring my bigger lens.

Feedback

My advice for other photographers is to think outside the box and view the same item from a different perspective. Take a moment to look around to see other people's views and what they are pointing their camera's at.
