Behind The Lens
Location
I took this photo on the Oregon Coast, Cannon Beach. My goal this trip was to avoid editing my photography, and I reached that goal through this photo. I did no touch up to the lighting or color in anyway.Time
Probably mid afternoon, so 1, maybe 2 o'clock.Lighting
I just adjusted the shutter speed accordingly and aperture. I was shooting on manual.Equipment
I used my Nikon D90, as with all my photographyInspiration
I love flowers, and when I passed by this, walking through town, I was struck by the rich, beautiful colors of the flowers. I think I really just wanted to capture the beauty of the flowers in context.Editing
NoIn my camera bag
I usually carry my camera, an extra flash, and another lens, and of course more memory card!Feedback
I think I would just say to take a picture like this, in a shaded area if possible. This picture had the cover of two buildings so that even though it was mid-afternoon,there was no harsh sun glare. If you see something like this out in the open, try shooting early evening, or on a cloudy day. The richness of the colors could be drowned out by too much sun. It is always best in proper shade where you have the aura of light around you, without its direct presence.
