Location
This is taken under a concert in Tromsø Norway with Seigmen at Driv 28.August.2014Time
This was late Thursday in an indoor location for Students of Tromsø. I was invited by Bjørn Opsahl to this concert and me and him took photos of the band Seigmen this evening.Lighting
I used lighting from the scene and timed the photos to match the light so I was able to have enough light for the scene.Equipment
I shot the whole evening using a Leica M9 with a zeiss 21mm F2.8 wide open and had a hotshoe viewfinder to help me adjust the frame. No extra flash was allowed and all was hand held. So all manual focus.Inspiration
I always like to take photos that push my limit of what is possible with the gear I have. When someone say it is not possible to take photos with my gear I want to prove them wrong.Editing
I use Lightroom and turn on highlight and shadow warning. Then after adjusting the scene in b&w I brush down highlight until the highlight warning are off and same with shadow to get most of the scene with details. In my camera bag
In 2014 I had a Leica M9 with the 21mm and a 50mm Summilux, but now I mostly do 4x5 photos with a Canham DLC45 and three lenses. Grandagon 65mm F4.5, Schneider Super Symmar HM 120mm F5.6 and Fujinon 300mm F8.5 C. I have this with me all over and even on family vacation.Feedback
Try to restrict yourself to one lens and set a fixed shutter speed, aperture and iso. Then take photos without looking at them while taking them so you don`t get distracted by the camera and just try capture the right moment. There is always one photo that is the "money shot" amongst all the photos you take during a concert.
