This photograph was taken in Kwun Tong District of Hong Kong, this area was about to be subjected to redevelopment, and I wanted to capture the unique attributes of the district that were soon to be demolished.Time
It was taken in mid-afternoon on a hot July day, I remember it was more than 35 degrees that day, and I found it peculiar that this individual decided to wear a long-sleeved dress shirt despite the scorching heat!Lighting
This district has since been subjected to gentrification, and developers have decided to knock significant portions of the district down, which have diminished the spatial quality and atmosphere of old Hong Kong. It's a reflection of the diminishing appreciation for Hong Kong's history and culture in order to pursue profits and corporate greed.Equipment
