April 2011
This is from the same shoot as the Last Tracks shot I uploaded a couple weeks ago. I realize I've gotten away from sharing this portfolio work with you and I wanted to start adding more of that again. I get side tracked so easy, lol. Anyway, I edited this a couple different ways, the first was a straight forward true to life edit, but I just wasn't feeling it at all, I was playing with some fashion presets I bought awhile back and one of them just gave the blues such a cool feel, I kinda reset everything else, but stumbling upon that blue theme, really brought life to this one for me. I often wonder how many good photographs could be better if I actually had the vision in my mind, so much of what I do when editing feels like an accident, or a journey, I hope one day I'll just see it in my head and know how to get there quickly, it would probably save me a lot of time and I might even have a lot more work that I dismissed originally, like this one.
Anyone else have this same experience with their work? I'm curious!
