Location
This photo was taken in New York - Time Square. It was one of my first photos with my new Nikon D5200 camera. I travel lots and for the last few years have just been using my iPhone. I decided that with all the traveling I do I should start back at square one with a good camera. I had taken photography classes back in high school - but times have changed! Lots to learn and re-learn.Time
It was mid afternoon. I had been walking around for hours in New York - as you can imagine, its very easy to do with so many things to photograph. New York is one of my favourite cities!Lighting
This photo was taken without a flash. As I'm just starting out I'm beginning to discover what lighting works for what I like. Early morning light and dusk I find works the best for giving great photos.Equipment
This photograph was taken with my Nikon D5200. Aperture was f/8.0 with an ISO of 100 and exposure of 1/200. No other filter or camera gear was used.Inspiration
As I mentioned earlier, New York is full of history. There is something interesting to photograph every step you take. NY has landmarks that are photographed by millions.Editing
As I'm just getting started with my camera and photography I had not done anything as far as editing to this photo. In my camera bag
Again, I'm just getting started so I just have the basic camera lens that came with the camera and some basic tools for cleaning the lens.Feedback
The only advice I can give is even if you are just starting - get out that and snap away... don't be afraid to take lots of pictures of the same thing - trying different settings and changing your viewpoint. Its a photograph, be creative or just simple. Even the simplest photo can turn out amazing.
