Location
The Foto was taken in Park Sanssouci (Potsdam Germany). I have been living here for 35 years now and here are always great photo opportunitiesTime
It was late in the evening and I wanted to take a time-lapse picture of the castle, so I put the camera on a tripod and let my camera control run .. after about 30 minutes a thunderstorm started and I wanted to go home. Usually thunderstorms here always come from the west or east ... this time it came from the north west which is very unusual.Lighting
The oncoming thunderstorm with simultaneous light from the back gives the whole picture something mysticalEquipment
This was Shot with a NIKON D70 Aperture f/10.0?ISO 200?Shutter 1/400?on a tipod with a external camera release for time lapse recordingInspiration
The photo was not planned that way and was sent out by chance so I can't really say that something inspired meEditing
I didn't do much afterwards, just something shifted blue and sharpened a littleIn my camera bag
Oh that's complicated it depends a lot on what I want to do I usually don't have a tripod with me, for example. I like to be on the go with a light baggage even if I have the possibility to take several cameras with me. Most of the time I only have a Nikon 300s with a 28-50 mm 2.8F with me ... when traveling I find the Sony Alpha 5800 quite practicalFeedback
If you know there is a thunderstorm, look for a sheltered place with a view. Take care that your equipment cannot get wet and choose the longest possible exposure time, the best thing is to take a series of pictures. e.g. Miops Smart App-controlled high-speed camera trigger but I have never tried one
