Hi it was taken in the cheviot hills Northumberland united kingdom on a day hike we love these hills as they are so beautiful and peacefulTime
It was early lunchtime around about 12.30 pmLighting
No the natural light did everything it was just perfect timingEquipment
The photo was taken with a canon sx 40 hs no tripod flash or otherInspiration
Fen my border collie is such a stunning dog the scenery itself is stunning so they complimented each otherEditing

The weather in the united kingdom is very changeable but even more so in the Cheviot hills so its best to take waterproofs, decent hiking boots a thermos flask and food you do not have to walk far before you come across amazing scenery but we love to get high so a climb is in order to get spectacular views like this one it was a deliberate ploy to have fen so sharp in the foreground and the background blurred you can still see the beauty of the countryside behind fen my border collie I was looking for a depth of field in the photo which really paid off.
