This was one of the most amazing evenings I had ever witnessed. The sky was changing by the second and left me in awe...

Location
This photo was taken on the beach of Boracay, Philippines.Time
Patiently waiting for sunset and cruising up and down the beach until I found a spot where I could shoot without having people in the shot in the water was difficult so it was a grueling walk down a long beach to get to a secluded area.Lighting
I live in the Florida Keys and we get amazing sunrise and sunsets daily but this is the most spectacular sunset I have ever seen in my life. The colors kept changing every few minutes it would get more dramatic. I was in awe for almost an hour watching and photographing the sky. I still photo sunrise and sunsets every week and still this one is my absolute favorite. I never have seen boats like that out on the horizon with those types of sails before.Equipment
Nikon D800 handheld, 28-300mmInspiration
Sunsets and sunrise are my passion, each one is unique and just fills me with joy.Editing
I do not have much knowledge of photo editing, I only used iPhoto at the time to edit this shot.In my camera bag
My equipment has evolved and changed over the years. I still have my D800, also Sony NEX 7, and now am moving into drone photography with the DJI mavic pro and Inspire 1 RAW drones.Feedback
Sunsets can be deceiving due to the clouds, sometimes the clouds light up very well and create such drama throughout the sky but other times the far off distant cloud cover can block out the suns rays. So many times when i'm shooting sunsets I see people immediately walk away once the sun has set and they miss the most vibrant colors which usually fill the sky with amazing colors after the sun has already dropped.
