This photo was taken in my study/computer room. As usual, Nigel was sitting on top of the desk "helping" me work... He took a short break for a quick photo shoot.Time
This was taken in the morning, and as the desk is right beside the window, the morning light on Nigel was too good to pass up!Lighting
I loved the way the light was giving him an ethereal glow... And his contemplative look added to the softness of the image.Equipment
I used my Nikon D7100 with a 18-200mm lens. No flash, just natural light.Inspiration
I love capturing ordinary, everyday moments. There's something special about the small but incredibly beautiful things around us all the time, and I like to slow things down, savor them, and if I'm lucky get a memorable image out of it.Editing

My Nikon D7100 and the 18-200 lens come with me on pretty much every photo shoot. I do quite a bit of travelling, and find that that lens is great for when I'm on the go. Very versatile. I also carry a Panasonic Lumix point and shoot when I travel - just in case! A macro lens sometimes makes it into the bag as well, depending on where and what I'll be shooting.Feedback
Always have a camera on hand, charged up and ready to go!
