Behind The Lens

Location

I took the photo in Mexico City, near to Soumaya Museum on the famous district named Polanco. That building also named "Plaza Carso"

Time

It was around 4-5pm on a cloudy day of september. I tried different angles, looking a better spot to catch a natural light, always taking care of the composition.

Lighting

The most important thing on my photo is the composition and the abstraction of the scene, i don´t want to share another image of a building, I just want to play with the shape of the structure, the open windows, light, color and sky; making a fusion of elements.

Equipment

I use my Canon T5i, with an 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 and lens hood to avoid light flare.

Inspiration

I want to share a photo who invite to use the user imagination, im starting in the field of photography and the abstracts seems to be the easiest topic for me.

Editing

I used low intensity to create almost a b&w effect, +1 of exposure, light and shadow to define the lines.

In my camera bag

I always carry an 50 mm f/1.8 , 18-55 mm and 55-250mm lens, tripod, lens hood and some of creativity =)

Feedback

The most important thing is to move around your scene, looking for the best spot, many people took the typical landscape, they show a specific and clear shape, but I just want to present a different point of view, drawing a beautiful form with lines from a great building.
