Sibling Space

In June 2014, New Heaven Reef Conservation Program received a small number of adolescent green sea turtles to be released at the Save Koh Tao festival after some monitoring.

I was one of the lucky few that got the chance to pick them up from the peer and bring them to the tanks at the diveschool that the program is based in. This photo was taken on the journey from the peer. Since the turtles had to be together for this leg of the journey, they showed no timidness or shyness in their nature and clambered over one another before repeatedly falling asleep.
