Behind The Lens
Location
This photo was taken in Milan/Italy, my birth place. I've been living in England for the past 18 years, but some times I go back to visit friends and family.Time
I wanted to show the beauty of Milan that is usually overlooked. Milan has beautiful architecture that gives the city its particular atmosphere. As rain is not uncommon in Milan, I feel this picture combines both.Lighting
I like always natural light in all my work. In this particular photo I was looking for the feeling of the calm after the stormEquipment
I always work with a nikon, that day i had with me my nikon d3200 with a 18-105 3.5-5.6 nikon lens I had a tripod with meInspiration
As I mentioned before I wanted to capture part of the essence of Milan, that is the fascinating architecture and the typical atmosphere of a middle european cityEditing
I always shoot in raw, so post-processing is always need, but I try to do the minimum, in this case, i just add a little bit of clarity, a bit of contrast, and adjust saturationIn my camera bag
I usually, carry with me my nikon d3200, 2 lens , a 18-105, and a 70-300, both 3.5-5.6, a light tripod, a "coat" for my camera, since I ruined one camera,my first time out shooting wild sea in a very wild weather, and living in England, you are better be prepared. I have also a polarize filter always in the bagFeedback
The bets way is to get out just after rain, be creative and get the right angle
