Mignonne la brunette...Mais je crois bien qu'une femme nue attire forcément le regard, à moins d'être gay, attiré par des hommes nus...

Behind The Lens

Location

The Penthouse at The Obel Tower in Belfast

Time

Mid afternoon/early evening I think

Lighting

The lighting is completely natural. No flashes were used.

Equipment

I shot this on a Canon 650d on a standard kit lens. I was actually using the canon to meter the shot for my medium format film camera, as my light meter had no batteries.

Inspiration

This window was just crying out to be photographed. A silhouette of the model was the original idea, but I shot this with a standard exposure and edited two versions. This one and a silhouette version.

Editing

I fixed the lens distortion and over exposed using Lightroom. I reduced the saturation in Photoshop. That's it.

In my camera bag

Canon 6d, Canon 650d, tripod, flashes, and assortment of lenses from standard kit lens to fisheye

Feedback

Shoot in RAW. Always. This allowed me to underexpose and overexpose in post production with no image quality degradation. Be patient, have fun, and make sure u have ur shot before moving on
