Really nice, soft touch on this. There is, for me, a candle like feel to it. Wonderful.

Behind The Lens

Location

Yellow Creek State Park, Indiana, Pennsylvania

Time

Noon

Lighting

It was a sunny day and therefore needed no flash.

Equipment

Canon T3I Rebel No Flash Lens = 55-250 Circular Polarized Lens

Inspiration

I am new to photography with a great desire to photograph things in nature, old barns and buildings are my focus. I saw this beautiful flower and wanted to see how I could capture this beauty.

Editing

I did do post-processing in Lightroom. I used the white balance to increase the illumination of the flower. I also cropped this to photo to allow to capture this Lilly pad flower close. I did enhance the flower to bring out the yellow inside.

In my camera bag

Canon Rebel T31 Camera Lens =55-250 Lens = 18-55 Remote Tri Pod Circular Polarized Lens

Feedback

I am an amateur photographer and my advice would be photograph what you love. It will show in your work. I love old buildings, barns, anything in nature and that is my focus when I take pictures. I would strongly advice that you use a circular polarized lens if shooting in the day while the sun is strong. If you are going to shoot with a slow shutter speed, a tripod is imperative. I am learning as I go and can tell you I have found photography has allowed me to look at what I shoot with new and exciting eyes. Enjoy what you do and for me this is a passion.
