Hello Michael, I am so sorry I haven't seen your comment before today. It's hard keeping up with them. I've been shooting for years, but don't consider myself good at it - I'm self taught. I will check your gallery too :) This kookaburra was taken in our back yard. We have families of them around our property.

kkat, Wow, I'm glad you've seen a Kookaburra now. I actually just put up a photo of two kookaburras this morning, taken just off our verandah. We love to hear their laughter choir in the morning. They are magnificent birds, but unfortunately their diet is frogs, baby birds .... but we can hand feed them minced meat. They love mice too which is great :)
