Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was taken at the terrace of my house, in Kolkata(Calcutta).

Time

It was in the evening. I was wondering to get some snaps of sunset. By that time I noticed it. It was taken on 25th Jan, 2013.

Lighting

As it was evening when I took the snap, it was a little dark. But i need a little more light to get it perfect so i used the in built flash of my canon 1000D covered with a soft white piece of cloth.

Equipment

It was taken by Canon 1000d,18-55mm basic lens and in built flash with a piece of white cloth.

Inspiration

I was wondering to get some snaps of sunset in the evening time. At that time I saw some ants were carrying their eggs. Then I follow them and found where they laid the eggs. It was so exciting the way they were carrying the eggs.

Editing

Yes, I have done some post-processing. I just cropped the pic to get the perfect area which I intended and changed some contrast value using Lightroom.

In my camera bag

I do use Canon 1000d and have 18-55 mm and 55-250mm lenses.

Feedback

As I am a photographer by hobbies and by professional software developer, I do not have too much experience or knowledge. Though I do think if anyone wanna capture such kind of picture, he/she should use any macro lens. If any one have any advice regarding this picture, please feel free, I am still learning..
