love the contrast between the bulb and the desaturated surrounding. If you could check out my work.

Location
This photo was taken outside my previous home in Staunton, Virginia.Time
There is a specific time of year where the sun settles just right between the tree lines and above the fence. It's in the winter, when the last bit of warmth leaves for the day.Lighting
Mother nature always provides the best lighting, always changing and exciting to try and capture at the most opportune times.Equipment
I took this with a Nikon D5100Inspiration
I always find pleasure in the little things, and this was particularly fun to discover and to capture. Being able to recreate the essence of light in the bulb with the true source of all natural light was seemed like the perfect combination.Editing
I wanted the color and light of the sun to really stand out, so I took out all saturation except the beautiful natural orange glow.In my camera bag
I always carry around now my Nikon D700 with a Nikkor 18-105mm lens. It's that sweet spot of range that I find myself taking pictures in. As a back up I have my Nikon D5100 if I come across something I want to video. And for surprisingly good panoramic photos that I don't have to spend time in photoshop piecing together, I always keep my iPhone 6S on me.Feedback
I think the key to getting shots like this is just being aware of your surroundings and details in your environment. Even the most simple everyday items can be made into something beautiful. Have the patience to line things up just perfectly and take several shots, you just never know if a millimeter adjustment will make or break a picture.
