Location
The Photo was taken at Chembarambakkam Lake in Chennai, India. Whenever i feel Low, will spend time at some natural habitat place with my best buddy (camera), happened to visit Chembarambakkam Lake on one such occasion.Time
This is one of my favorite image, took using my first DSLR on Jan 2013 around 12 PM. I remember walking about a kilometer in thorny bushes to spot this wonderful Jewel bug, they were flying restless and i had to wait for about an hour to get them settle on the nearby plant.Lighting
Frozen this beautiful moment around 12 PM. Since it was cloudy the lighting was low but this helped in adding an ambiance to the frame.Equipment
This was shot using my first DSLR Canon 1100D with 55-250mm. I did not carry tripod on that day, so i balanced the camera with the support of a nearby tree branch.Inspiration
I am a self taught photographer. Nature has always inspired me to explore its colorful mysteries.. The beauty of nature is something that none can ever duplicate... and this beautiful Jewel Bug couple speaks volumes about the love that exists in nature.Editing
Did not do much of processing... Just adjusted contrast and some basic editing with Picasa software. In my camera bag
Being from a middle class family, i own a canon 1100d, Canon 600D, few kit lenses Canon 55-250 mm, canon 70-300mm, Canon 50mm prime lens and a sturdy tripod, which i usually carry in my bag. I used to rent Canon 5Dmark iii / Canon 100-400mm/ Sigma 150-500 form a nearby rental shop during my forest trips.Feedback
Try the best to capture every moment that nature offers u, as these r never replicated again.. Each one is unique in itself, so if time brings u face to face with something extraordinary make the most of it and use your third eye to showcase it to the world. Make sure there was no harsh sun light, harsh midday light will kill the colors, try using a sunlight diffuser.
