Shot of a Starling i captured on the post of my plant hanger..i usually will hang suet and other bird feeders on it instead of plants..that way when the birds land..i can see them outside my back door window..i get most of my shots from there. this was taken last summer in 2012..love the iridescent sheen of color there. Didn't realize they sported so many colors when the sun hits them just right!
was taken with my Canon Rebel T3 with a 70-300 mm zoom attached. handheld, no tripod. Shot was editied in Picasa and Picmonkey, contrast and added color, plus closely cropped for better viewing.
