I attended the Pontchartrain Astronomical Society’s annual star party in Norwood, Louisiana recently, where I strayed from the observing field a few hours each night to try my hand at wide-angle astrophotography. The night sky in Norwood is among the darkest in the state, particularly toward the north and west.
