Location
I took this when I was on vacation in Albuquerque, New Mexico. There was a cute, little bird on one of the rocks at the Petroglyphs National Park.Time
I took this in the middle of the day.Lighting
I edited the photo with an iPhone app. I wish I remembered which one.Equipment
I used an SLR Canon Rebel with its original lens.Inspiration
The ancient Pueblo had shamanistic beliefs, and I wanted to portray how magical this location is. Birds and the heavens were especially sacred to them.Editing
Yes, I used a photo app. Unfortunately, I don't remember which one.In my camera bag
Canon Rebel, the original lens, and a zoom lense. I pack a snack and sunscreen if I'm going to be out a lot.Feedback
I would say: Look beyond what you currently see. Look at nature as someone from the past would and what it would mean to them. Then try to connect it with your modern lifestyle. Not only does it create better photos, but connects you to nature and the past better as well.
