The photo was taken in my home studio in Colombia, i am actually studying photography in the university so i always try to create new things every day.Time
this was one of the first artworks that i created so is very special to me, i remember that i was at the middle day i choose the cockroaches and put it over a table, i didn't had tripod at that time so i stand up in a chair and be very calm to shoot this one. the final result was a 3pm i guess..Lighting
the lighting was all natural, coming from a window in my living room. the sun is the best partner in this case.Equipment
This was shot on a canon eos rebel xs with a 18-55mm lens and no tripod.Inspiration
leonardo Da Vinci used to say that to know beauty you have to know darkness as well , so that way of thinking took me to take this photo.Editing
in this particular case yes, i used photoshop to adjust the curve and fix the lighting, also to bring color to the roaches.In my camera bag
i always carry a canon T5I camera and two lenses, 18-55 mm and 50mm.Feedback
just let your ideas come to life, no matter if they're crazy ideas if you want to do it, just do it, pop art and photography are a great inspiration to me so when i came out with this photo i let everything to go on.
