I shot this from a hotel balcony in Orange County.Time
The sun was low on the horizon which made it a great time to shoot since the sun wasn’t directly shining into my lens. The shadows and golden colors made this the perfect time to capture something innocent and playful!Lighting
I always lean towards natural light and adjusting settings on the camera to either add more light or take light away. Depending on my mood and what I want to see more or less of the image I have in my mind. I stay away from artificial light unless said light is already available for me to take advantage of.Equipment
I shot this image with an Olympus E-500 which I do not shoot with anymore. I had the Olympus when I started to become interested in photography as a hobby. Since then I have moved onto a Canon 5D Mark II. Have been using the Canon ever since. No tripod was utilized.Inspiration
Being a new dad, the joy of kids playing is a nice and comforting thing to see. It’s the innocence of children that is amazing to watch.Editing

Take sometime to observe. Don’t look for your subject, just have an idea. It will come to your eyes when you least expect it. And, if it doesn’t, keep observing happenings around you and soon enough, you will see what you want others to see from your perspective!! Never ever give up!!!!
