Location
The photo was taken at my home in New Delhi, IndiaTime
At 7.30 in the morning .Lighting
It was shot in natural light coming through the window. A drop of glycerin was added on a peacock feather through a syringe to create a clear, stable drop of liquid to represent a drop of tear.Equipment
The camera Nikon D7000 with 50mm f 1.8 lens was handheld. The focus was on the drop from the closest distance possible to get macro effect.Inspiration
A had tried similar shots on Black feathers. I wanted a bright feather this time.Editing
Not much except some sharpening. In my camera bag
A few other lenses than the kit ense, including a wide angle and a few prime lenses( 50mm, 35mm, and Macro 105mm)Feedback
I prefer doing photography in natural light in golden hours when light comes from the horizon. I normally do not use a tripod as it helps me to have flexibility of angles while composing a picture. I always prefer a prime lens.
