Behind The Lens
Location
This photo was taken on the Arkansas river in Little Rock, Arkansas at sunset. I had to wait for all conditions to be right. Nothing fancy, and no enhancements to the photograph. I believe that what you see and shoot should be what you were aiming for. I used a Nikon D 300 with a Samsung 70 - 300 lens.Time
I love sunsets and sunrises and so sometimes you just have the patience, timing and more importantly the luck to be in the right place at the right time. This was one of those moments. It was at the height of summer and was about 9pm in the evening.Lighting
I do not concern myself with lighting, if I can see the subject, I will shoot it.Equipment
I am a snap shot photographer and therefore I do not have the time when shooting or traipsing thru the woods or the canyons of Utah, I don't have the space nor time for setting up equipment to get that perfect shot. Just go for it and that iw why I like the Nikons and lens from all the different companies.Inspiration
My inspiration in my photography is to set up a shot that will tell a story whether it be the simple beauty of nature or the mysteries of what might lie beyond the limits of the imagination. When I am out shooting, I do not go just to capture something, but to create stories for my viewers. The artistry of the shooter should be more than an image, it should evoke the senses as well as the mind.Editing
No post processingIn my camera bag
I have my primary camera and usually three or four different lens. That is an individual choice.Feedback
My advice to others is simple, practice the settings on your camera, learn what each setting does and practice, practice, practice, and above all else, never leave home without your camera, it should be an extension of yourself because you never know when that special moment will come, you know the once in a life time and dang I forgot my camera moment.
