During a walk around the Serpentine Wildlife area in Surrey, BC, we came upon a few of these butterflies. As we approached they would take flight but stay close. Even landing on my camera or a shoulder. They were very 'inquisitive'.
Once I got one to land close by, I was able to approach it to within the minimum focusing distance of my lens and get some nice shots. This is the best of the group.
