This photo was taken on a beach near Zadar. I'm a beginner and self-taught and this kind of, "in motion" picture was really tricky for me, but I've managed to pull it of.Time
I believe that this is called "the golden hour" and this was my first photo taken during this time. It was around 7:30 pm and the sun was setting.Lighting
Honestly, no. This was all natural light, I just made sure that my aperture was right, as well as the shutter speed. It took several shots to get it right, but I think it was worth it.Equipment
This was pretty basic- Canon 1100d, 18-55 mm lens, but I don't remember what was the aperture or shutter speed :)Inspiration
That's a good question. My friend, the one in the photo, inspired me because she was so happy that day, everything was perfect: it was summer, the sea was beautiful, we were laughing, reading books, swimming, having fun, and this was the perfect end of the perfect summer day.Editing
I did, because the original photo wasn't as dark as I wanted it to be. So i used Lightroom to boost the contrast and to darken the shadows. It was minimal work, but I think it made this photo better. In my camera bag
I have my tripod, Canon 1100d, 18-55mm lens and 70-300 mm lens, 32 GB card x 2, cleaning cloth, batteries, charger, bouncer and some kind of a snack. I came to realize that, whenever I need something really bad, that's usually the thing I didn't bring with me. So I pretty much bring everything with me.Feedback
I think this kind of photo doesn't need that much knowledge about photography, but you have to use your instinct. And have a lot of patience, you and your model.
