Location
This picture was taken at the MIngo Wildlife Refuge just north of Puxico, Missouri.Time
The picture was taken in the midafternoonLighting
We were in a wooded area in the shade of the tall trees located in the Swamp Walk. There were two fawns with the mother a bit further back. The photo opportunity was fairly short.Equipment
I used my Cannon EOS 60D, using my EFS 18-200mm. At that time I was in the automatic action setting.Inspiration
I love wildlife, and capturing them in their natural habitat. The fawn were as curious about us as I was about them.Editing
For the most part, I only crop my photos; in this photo I needed to adjust the brightness. In my camera bag
My bag is sparsely equipped with a 24-105 1:4 lens, an extra battery, an extra SD card, UV filter and polarizer. The bag usually stays in the car while we roam through various conservation areas.Feedback
Being quiet and ready to shoot have been key aspects of my wildlife captures. I rarely get a shot worth posting.
